RR1 is considered a heavy pen of medium length. It is nicely balanced (without the cap posted) slightly rear of pen barrel/section center. It’s length extends nicely past the V of the thumb and index finger for positive pen control. So there you have it, MetalWrite RR1 using Conway Stewart sterling barrel, cap, nib and section with custom stoppers, clip and engraving. We hope this short tutorial gives a brief glimpse into the many hours of handwork that goes into each pen.
