MetalWrite and Conway Stewart proudly announce their new series dedicated to our favourite British computer scientists and mathematicians. The first two are dedicated to those honourable code breakers Alan Turing and Dilly Knox who (during the second world war as part of the British code breakers at Bletchley Park) helped break both the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers.
Alan & Dilly were created by the designers and metal masters at MetalWrite and Conway Stewart and are designed to answer our customers request for a "sterling pen just a little smaller and lighter”. At 60 gms weight, 17.2cm long (cap posted) and 1.1cm diameter, A & D fit even small hands nicely.
The clip and nib are 'oversized' for the pen, so as you put the pen in your pocket or to paper, they present a classic statement of fountain pen elegance.
The barrel/cap pattern is a Conway Stewart original, created and engraved in their factory in Plymouth England.
Of course, like all our pens, A&D are delivered to you with the fountain pen section (nib of your choice - EF,F,M,B,BB,IF,IM,IB) and Roller ball section - so it's like having two pens in one. Alan & Dilly are both made in a limited edition of 7 sets - so email to reserve your number(s)
